My Services

What I Do?

I mentor and tutor healthcare professional students in preclinical courses such as pathophysiology, advanced anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology and actively translate them into clinical courses and clinical practice. Additionally, I provide tutoring in clinical research designs and developing clinical research plans. This is beneficial for both students and active/practicing healthcare professionals. Tutoring in scientific writing – writing research papers, seminar works, project papers, theses, and dissertations. How successfully non-selectively search the literature, avoiding biases and making mistakes.

Private Tutoring

Private tutoring is available online or in person for residents of the New Orleans metropolitan area, including the Southshore and Northshore. My approach to tutoring and mentoring goes beyond delivering educational materials. It focuses on assessing and enhancing your understanding of course content through direct and indirect testing methods. By utilizing real-life scenarios, case studies, case series, and comprehensive tests, I tailor sessions to pinpoint areas needing improvement and provide targeted guidance to help you achieve your goals. To ensure personalized support, all prospective students are encouraged to schedule an initial discovery call. This allows me to better understand your needs and collaborate with you to develop a tailored action plan for your success.

Lectures

I can provide isolated lectures or tailored curricula in certain areas to meet your needs. This can help you gain an in-depth understanding of existing educational materials and develop more disciplined study skills.

Online Courses

I do not usually offer online courses. However, I like to provide my students with abundant free online materials, such as practice tests, case studies, case series, and real-life scenarios, to practice and apply the knowledge they have gained in pathophysiology and pharmacology.

Consulting

I consult healthcare professionals on integrative, functional, and holistic healing practices, drawing on extensive knowledge of biochemistry, nutrition, physiology, genetics, pharmacogenetics, and pathophysiology. My clinical research consultations focus on developing practical and objective research plans, emphasizing non-experimental quantitative and other clinical research designs. I offer guidance in scientific writing for research papers, seminar works, project papers, theses, and dissertations, emphasizing unbiased literature review methods. My consulting services for healthcare and academic enrichment use innovative learning techniques to ensure retention and practical application of knowledge, promoting students’ self-authorship. I assist in developing course portfolios based on research and scholarly work and provide proficiency in ADA, ADA-AA, and IDEA programs to support students with disabilities effectively. Additionally, I consult on cultural competence, cultural humility, and intercultural sensitivity in clinical practice and educational programs for healthcare professionals.

Lessons for Kids

I warmly welcome middle and high school students who are seeking additional attention and support in science and biology. Whether you need help grasping challenging concepts, preparing for exams, or exploring advanced topics, I am here to provide personalized guidance tailored to your specific learning needs. Upgrade your skills and change your life for your future courses in a program or later in continuing education courses when you start your clinical practice. My students once told me that pathophysiology is akin to advanced mathematics or rocket science. Indeed, it requires a lot of study and time; however, once you learn how to study it, a new perspective and deeper dimensions of the science will be revealed to you. Rote memorization alone will not provide you with the essential skills to apply the knowledge of pathophysiology in your clinical courses.

Retired university/college professor and researcher with 30 years of quality experience executing teaching, instructing, tutoring, mentoring, course design, development, and sophisticated presentation skills (in-class and distance-online education using different platforms). Promoting student learning and utilizing problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills within an educational environment. Skilled in mentoring and directing students and teams, effectively focusing research methodologies on building cohesive learning and a productive environment. Team player in a multicultural environment with strong cultural competency in disability, demographic, cultural, and religious diversity. Special projects for gifted and talented students and students with special needs, mentoring, and tutoring in study skills.

I facilitated course development, design, and learning for over 20 courses, including those for professional healthcare students and 10 for science-biology majors. I introduced innovative learning techniques and methods to teach students, case studies, and real-life case scenarios. I transferred knowledge to support organizational objectives and promoted students’ self-authorship and implementations in the education setting and academic enrichment programs to ensure retention and success.
